The three-beat community can be described as a pigeon-crazy trio. While Frank Hagedorn and Emil Schwick take care of the racing pigeons in the main task, René Becker mainly deals with the breeding pigeons.

The pigeons are raced here after total widowhood and the season starts with about 100 old birds. The youngsters begin their journey with about 150 pigeons. Before the trip, health is the top priority, and this is where the trained veterinarian René comes into play. True to the motto: 'No treatment without findings', the stock is thoroughly examined before the season. All pigeons are vaccinated against Paramyxovirosis, Rota and Salmonella. Unlike last season, this year the Rota vaccine was used for the first time. Furthermore, young pigeon powder, Entrobac and K+K protein were integrated into the existing supply plan. René thinks that the Rota vaccination has proven particularly effective in the case of the year-olds.

In order to prepare the pigeons well, private training is of great importance. However, this must and will be adapted to the professional working hours and cannot always be operated as intensively as the trio would like.

In order to achieve such results, sports enthusiasts rely on the use of OptiBreed (also for the racing pigeons), young pigeon powder, Entrobac and Blitzform during the racing season. As a further component you also need very good pigeon material - so René is responsible for breeding in the SG. He not only takes care of the breeding pigeons, but also thinks about matings and new acquisitions for the stock. The trio often talks shop together.
