Changes for the 2024 season

“We have been caring for the pigeons in the same way for about seven years. Since everything is going well, we see no need for changes or adjustments. Most pigeons have partners who stay at home. It is particularly important to us that the pigeons eat well so that they can take part in a flight every week. In addition to the feed mixtures, the supplementary feed is also crucial. The more the pigeons train, the better their condition becomes. On Wednesday the old and young people always receive an additional training flight of 50 to 120 km.” Then the day begins at 5:30 a.m. and father Patrick brings the pigeons to the release location for the training flight. After they return, they can stay with their partner for a short time.

Supply of Röhnfried products

“This is a weekly routine that the pigeons know well and they continue to eat well, which is of great importance. There was a slight adjustment last season, namely the use of Magnepro. It was amazing how quickly the pigeons recovered.”

For years the supply has looked like this:

Saturday: When they come home, they get Mumm, Rotosal, Bt-Amin forte and one K+K Gold dragee per pigeon in their drinking water.

Sunday: Hexenbier (to stimulate blood circulation) and Carni-Speed ​​(carnitine for efficient fat burning) in the drinking water.

A combination of Moorgold and K+K-Protein 3000 in the food, both in the morning and evening. This keeps the intestines in balance and the muscles regenerate very well.

Monday: Hexenbier and Carni-Speed ​​in the water. About the food Moorgold, Entrobac and immune boosters.

Tuesday and Wednesday: In the water lightning form and carni speed. Energy oil and Ro 200 ready only in the evening with the food.

In preparation for breeding

In autumn, all pigeons are treated against trichomonas and coccidiosis, followed by a treatment and vaccination against salmonella. During breeding, Davy uses a lot of Gervit-W and mineral drink in the drinking water. During the breeding period, they increasingly rely on Optibreed as feed, dried with Entrobac or K+K-Protein 3000.
