Who wants to successfully play all flights from 100 to 600 km, should already have a sufficient, but also a team which has high qualities. Just the German breeders know these all-round qualities to appreciate. Have specialized in the short -, medium - or even the most Belgian pigeon breeders long distance, so Willy Steenaerts doesn't have anything to offer the Belgian travel programs. Breeding base

On the breeding loft, we find two main lines which have prevailed. "De Jonge IJzeren" by L-B-J Geerinckx, which already is the father of 4 AS pigeons and 16 different 1st prize winners. He is also grandfather of the 1st Prov. Strategies against 4.677 pigeons and also of the "532/14 de Blauwe Bourges", in 2015 the 9th National Bourges against 14.449 years flew.

The other bloodline on the breeding loft goes beyond the 'KANNIBAAL 51"B-07-5100851, from a grandson and a granddaughter of the famous 'Kannibaal” by Dirk van Dijck and was bought in 2008 by Paul Huls.

Both Blulinien were crossed with each other and were the key of to long-term success in Willy Steenaerts. The successful launches of recent years are pigeons Leo Hamilton herremans - original and Peter Kocks and Marina Vandevelde, who have taken all and perfectly complement each other.

From the breeding loft 25 couples sit through every year that complementary to the best pilots are.

Gone is the total widower

In the year 2015, the travel impact consisted of 35 widower birds and 40 travel females. Move the old racers in an Aviary in the winter and only the year olds be mated on the racing loft. Young pigeons

In the year 150 youngsters are bred. “The first round is blacked out until early may, because I want to good play from the outset with this. The second round is obscured until June 21. From July 20, all young pigeons are illuminated until 22.00.”, as Willy explains his young pigeon game.
“The youngsters will be played at the beginning after the sliding door method, i.e. the sexes are separate and are left on the day together.”, Willy will continue.
“Private train the boys once a week during the season. After a training flight, they stay together for an hour. After the prize flights, they remain together until the evening, or even until the next morning.”

Supply

In the racing season, Willy feeds Vandenabeele. This mixture is fed up to 2 days before the Einkorben to 100%. Over the last two days, much seeds are added on the day before the day of use ranging up to 50%.

Additional products Aminovit, 4 Olien, cell oxygen and Optimix by RAF Herbots involved, also the medical care of the population throughout the year takes over.

A cure against paratyphoid with changing products is carried out in the autumn of each year.

Before the start of the Wettflüge, racers are treated also every 3 weeks to 2-2.5 days 7 days against cancer and in the racing season. Demand is treated in travel time with Orni mix, usually after bad flights or cold and wet weather.
