Flexibility – Joys and sorrows in the modern pigeon racing? – by Alfred Berger

Long, I was thinking whether I should address this issue in the preface of the new Röhnfried courier 2015. But in the last forewords I have commented but multiple topics, which structurally are pigeon fanciers. Also a very positive term to be flexibility seems basically. That's why you flexible solutions also calls for a forward-looking pigeon sport from all directions. We should create flexible travel plans undnatürlich flexibly respond to the fluctuating weather. Even Championships to allow flexibility so that E.g. by prank flights breeders also without sports damage one or fail even more scoring flights can from whatever reason. I get the impression in debates often, it is the flexibility that could keep our beloved pigeon sport much longer alive alone. So actually as positive is the flexibility is how often claimed? I would like to ask the flexibility as a solution to our problems very much in question, yes I'm going as far as to claim that the already practiced flexibility produces more problems than solutions. And unfortunately also applies to our birds. How to get to now, to set up a such for many provocative assertion? There, the flexibility in terms of the weather conditions is primarily to designate. It is indisputable that the weather conditions on the will and the line have great influence on the flight and in particular on the losses in our air sport. We have logically as responsible for the desire, the Liberation Day for best suitable conduct. So, in the course of the week, daily all weather data analyzed and set so the upcoming Airshow 'flexible'. However, I have to say time and again that the weather forecasts even if inaccurate einemVorhersagezeitraum of only two days are. The predictions are even not always of today tomorrow exactly enough, and how you want to set then over a long period of two to three days when will be the better flight. After all, breeders have also the legitimate claim as soon as possible to know when inserting to the next flight will take place, and also on what distance should be allowed to. The latter aspect is no later than the middle of the season, when the flights over 500 km 'flexible' is put into the best weekends or days with the supposedly best predictions. Alone too often the forecasts do not apply to simple. The flight director has made his decision in the week but the pressure on him is much larger, as if he would take responsibility for example only on Saturday morning. A race decision must be ideally completely free of decisions previously taken on day X. So it is for the flight leader the best protection if he had to make no decision at all in advance. Because to revise a decision is enormously difficult. Imagine move the flight because of the weather forecasts and then it is worse than predicted this day. Who can admit its previous mistakes and completely unaffected of it to make the right decision of the race. Especially if they then would have to be in doubt forget or driving back? So, so decisions that so not had taken place defined by the flight director and the compulsion that produced "The right to keep" without the prior responsibility arise from my point of view. So I'm saying that total not practiced flexibility helps us in determining the flight days! On the contrary, the flexibility established much more resentment and nuisance when a large majority of the breeders, because man prefers in principle once controlled structures. We plan our daily and weekly history more or less and any changes of planned processes represents a negative event and makes a nuisance so first of all, even if the shifts are understandable on the day of the decision basically. Because if we honestly the Satzzahlenim-year history and thus the individual flights or flight days analyzing the development, then we can not say that the losses have become less practiced flexibility. I believe you should write down the flights over 500 km in the itinerary of the regional associations on fixed dates. Usage day on Thursday so that the flight director always the three flight days Saturday to Monday at the disposal. Should the flight just shortened to be left can, then can be dealt with alternative dates. This had also provided some time ago the Sports Commission with the introduction of two national flights from 500 and 600 km, alone the 'hiking 'Assembly' has increased the flexibility of the fixed date for national flights. Incorrect in my opinion weakening of the original planning of national flights. In this context, I think it wrong the required 500 and 600 relatively early in the season to flights and perform. Is it not much beautiful Earth to fly furthest flight as a season highlight last weekend! In addition I would like to keep as possible so many breeders with so many pigeons in the race. Determine but need to be, that even after the Taubenzahlenstark take off flight first 500 km. That has not always at a loss to do, but alone with the situation that many breeders not all racers of the stock on the flights beyond the 500 km mark and after a "break" often not up to the end of the season give with them. When establishing a travel plan, but always the goal should be followed, keep to all breeders and pigeons in the race as long as possible! The numbers of set of prove to us after 'early' 500 and 600 km flights clearly fail if these take place already mid-June to early July, so very early in the season. I realize that I can raise controversy with these critical remarks is. I am but is totally convinced that the flexibility, as shown above, is not the solution for the future of the pigeon sport. For this reason, I see it as an obligation to introduce my belief due to my position in terms of the general public and to indicate this fact. Incidentally, our recommended care plan can be adapted flexibly during the week on changes.
