24,000 birds start to the Ruhr area flight from Hemau

SG Bros. Menke WINS with the pigeon 02619-12-1020 and a speed of 1301,893 m / min.

About 24,000 birds from 1,012 beats of connected RVen from the regional associations started June 14 at 6:55 in sunny weather and calm on the military training area on the traditional first flight from Hemau 401, 402, 403, and the RV "Hamm on the lip" from the RegV 412 on Sunday.

Preparations for this flight were optimally in the involved regional associations. The start of the season was more than good in all RVen, the flights before Hemau ran smoothly, which is reflected in the participation on this first classic, too.

Compared to last year, the three flight director Josef Rott, Manfred Wahsh and Thomas Bolz had it much easier. The great heat and storm formations, which had significantly affected the flight last year, were this time thank goodness.

So, the conditions were so perfect, which is reflected also in hindsight in the course of flight at all participating RVen. The first pigeons reached an airspeed of approximately 1300 m / min and after an average 35 minutes the competitors in the Ruhr area and also the bankruptcies in the individual regional associations and RVen was finished. Also the remaining pigeons came quickly, so that can speak of a good start in the 5th season of the Ruhr area flights.

Due to the non-participation of the regional associations 400 and 412 has seen off the Organizer this year by a zoning, so that only the overall competition was evaluated.

Simple beats and an optimal division of labour

Successful strikes must be not luxurious and huge, they need to work and the pigeons need to feel comfortable on it. The best example of this is the plant in Menden. The racing pigeons are housed in two levels in the attic of the parental home of the two brothers now inhabited by Hans Menke.
