Harald Zabel and Bernhard Kanz - the best of the regional association of 400 in 2015

Speaking in the Ruhr area by the most successful blows so Zabel from Duisburg Neumühl stands for many decades at the top. Although Harald Zabel in his 76ten years of age he is an avid pigeon breeder who has found his "passer" for three years in his strike partner Berni Kanz as always. As Harald must feel the consequences of a hard working life on the own body Berni has largely taken over the care of pigeons. The previous successful entrepreneurs and today's retirees Harald brings all his experience but in attitude and management of breeding and racing pigeons.

Home of Zabel/Kanz SG is the RV Neumühl with currently about 60 travelers blows, travel direction South-East. The cruising Association is one of the regional association of 400 Western Ruhr area, where sporting competition is usually held at a very high level. The strongest breeders of travel associations Duisburg, Oberhausen, Essen, Bottrop, Gelsenkirchen etc. cross the pigeon sports blades here. Our master breeder Harald could always fall back on fine breeders. Almost 40 years ago, he had discovered his heart for the pigeons of the gêbr Janssen. Direct purchases at the brothers Janssen, van Boxtel, van der phials and de Klak were the result. These pigeons immediately showed their whole class and achieved 1st prizes such as on the Assembly line. Thereafter, pigeons of the best lines of Vandenabeele and Soontjes were introduced targeted check up. These offspring also brought outstanding successes.

The today's breeders and performers come essentially from a son of the "NATIONAL I" about the family Herbots, his son "the 506" Is the progenitor of the colony of Zabel. Himself "the 506" was a very successful pilot and regional association-best. In breeding it is however with gold does not weigh up. This exceptional breeder brings in particular with several original females by Dr. Marien of top pigeons in the series, now in the 4th generation. About Dr. Marien, a slew of Supervererbern of in particular the origins of "Looks", "Koopman", "Pan", and "forth Emans" came now to Duisburg. Today, sitting all children of "506" on the breeding loft and have a Dr. Marien partner - the formula for success at Zabel/Kanz. Some birds of the Belgian TOP breeders were up-to-date Vanoppen-Luyten in Herk-de-Stad, and Jo Vangeel introduced from treatment in Germany to develop the already premium inventory.

Dr. Marien is not only the supplier of top pigeons but you trust him for years at the selection. So comes Dr. Marien after the trip on the Duisburg blows and takes each pigeon "under the microscope". All who will not meet its claims sorted out - regardless of ethnicity or origin.

The travel team will be traveled doves - all total widower in the basket. Starts with about 50 racing pigeons (25 birds and 25 females). The travel birds are housed in 4 generously sized compartments, while the females have to share a compartment. There's space here for more because 76 cells adorn the racing lofts. But the extremely rigorous selection speaks a clear language.

Basically, the pigeons are treated only if the supervising veterinarians determine a disease. The approximately 60 to 70 youngsters are exactly like the old pigeons supplied and there is also sufficient space available. A generous hit with direct connection to the outdoor aviary on the roof is the domicile of the breeders.

Since travel achievements of recent years would go beyond any scope we want to name only the current successful travel year 2015 at this point.

We find passionate pigeon fanciers, with excellent Dove material which is reflected not only in lineages, but also in impressive performances in the SG Zabel/Kanz, in the heart of the Ruhr region. The travel year 2015 was a renewed culmination of a decades-long pigeon sporting success story.
